Prague MBA Program Overview
Anglo-American University offers a prestigious MBA program taught entirely in English right here in Prague. The Prague MBA Program is an 18-month program in cooperation with Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics based in Orange, California USA.
Degree awarded: Having completed all program requirements, students are conferred the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) by Chapman University, Orange, California USA. Note: The Prague MBA Program is not accredited by the Czech Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education; therefore no ECTS credits are issued.
Quality: Program quality is ensured by three levels of accreditation. First, the Prague MBA Program is globally accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the “gold standard” of business school accreditation. Second, Chapman University is regionally accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), one of seven American regional accreditation associations. Third, AAU is a member of CAMBAS (Czech Association of MBA Schools).
Pricing: The Prague MBA Program tuition is CZK 430 000. There is also a mandatory Instructional Materials Fee of CZK 20 000. The total program cost is CZK 450 000. The Application Fee is CZK 4 500 and the Graduation Fee is CZK 700. Payment plans are available – please inquire for details.

Prague MBA Program Structure
The Prague MBA Program is offered in the weekend format (Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays). Study and advancement are based on class performance, which includes class participation and mandatory attendance. The full-time curriculum is delivered using traditional classroom lectures and interactive exercises. Teamwork is used extensively.
The Prague MBA Program requires the completion of 17 courses totaling 50 Chapman University credits. There is no thesis requirement and because the degree is granted by an American university State Exams are not required.
New cohorts start in late September of each year and complete the program in approximately 18 months. The application deadline is August 1st. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on an individual basis. For a detailed schedule, go HERE

Frequently Asked Questions
When do I start? New students meet for an orientation in September and form a cohort. They take all of their classes together. Academic work begins in October.
What is the timeline for applying? Applications need to be submitted by June 1 for international candidates and by August 1 for those already staying in the Czech Republic. AAU has a rolling admission policy. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on an individual basis.
Where is the program located? The program is located on the AAU campus in Prague and includes the opportunity to take one class at either the Chap- man campus in California or abroad (Brazil, Argentina or China). Graduates have the option to attend both the June AAU graduation held in Prague and the May ceremony on the Chapman campus.
What are the student demographics? Students come from a variety of countries, backgrounds, schools and business industries. In general, students tend to have between five and ten years of business experience. Some come to the program sponsored by their companies; others are interested in individual advancement.
What is the credit system of the program? The program is based on the American credit system. Students need 51 academic credits to graduate. The program is divided in 14 courses (12 four-credit, one three-credit and one one-credit).
When do the classes meet? Coursers are taught singly over a three-weekend period. Most courses are taught Fridays (17:00 - 21:00), Saturdays (9:00 - 18:00) and Sundays (9:00 - 13:00). There is at least a 12-day break between each course.
Is submitting a GMAT score required? Submitting your GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) score is encouraged, as it helps in the evaluation process.
How will my application be evaluated? Applications will not be reviewed until all documents have been submitted. They will be evaluated based on the candidate’s academic success, work experience and English language proficiency. Additionally, Chapman University will verify all information provided for accuracy.
How much experience should I have? Chapman University encourages candidates to have a minimum of five years’ work experience. This helps to foster an interactive and challenging class environment. In exceptional circumstances, a student may be accepted into the program directly from an undergraduate program.
